Hope's Harvest is the largest annual fundraiser for Growing Hope, Washtenaw County's non-profit organization dedicated to helping people improve their lives and communities through gardening. We work with neighborhoods, community groups, and families to develop and sustain gardens. Growing Hope fosters learning, improves nutrition, encourages self-reliance, and works to increase access to healthy foods. Funding generated through Hope's Harvest is used to support youth and family garden programs, community and school garden training programs and the Downtown Ypsilanti Farmers Market.
The Hope's Harvest Benefit Dinner celebrates local chefs and local food sources by offering a delicious variety of dishes prepared with locally produced food. The food station themes for Hope’s Harvest 2008 are as follows:
The 4th Annual Hope’s Harvest Benefit Dinner will take place on Sunday, September 21 from 4pm to 7pm at the future home of the Growing Hope Center; 922 W. Michigan Avenue in Ypsilanti, MI. Tickets are available at Click & Pledge. Purchase before August 22, 2008 and get the early bird rate!
