Position: Downtown Ypsilanti Farmers' Market volunteer
Time Commitment: Tuesdays between 10am-8pm May-October
Description: Our Downtown Ypsi Winter Farmers' Market, located at Corner Brewery (720 Norris St) is open Tuesday Nov 10th, 22nd, December 13th, and December 20th! Running a successful farmers' market calls for volunteers who are willing to pitch in and make it happen! There are several ways to get involved with the Downtown Ypsi Farmers' Market, including:
Harvesting 10am-11:30am
Market set-up 12:0-3:00pm
Counting attendees 3:00pm-7:00pm
Clean-up 7:00pm-9:00pm
Position: Growing Hope Center Renovation Team
Time Commitment: Various times and dates available, including at your own availability
Details: Growing Hope needs skilled volunteers to help complete our house renovations so we can open the GH Center this year! Can you help out or lead just one of them? We'll buy the materials! Below are some projects that need to be completed in the next few months:
* Window work- Repair storm windows
* Welding- design and build metal bars for windows (great for welding students, artists, or others!)
Position: Photographers & Videographers
Time Commitment: Variable-- whatever you can commit to
Details: No need to be a pro! We need folks who can come to our programs and events and take some photos and videos. We use this footage in multiple contexts. Your own camera is helpful, but we do have a small camera and video camera you can use.
On-going Volunteer Needs -
*Monthly Potluck Helper. Help us get set up, and stay to eat!
*Class instructors for gardening or food-related topics
*Artists to help beautify the Growing Hope Center
