Growing Hope's Seed Starting Squad!

Always wanted to start your own seedlings indoors but never knew how? 

Every year we provide the knowledge and resources for participating community members to raise healthy seedlings for community members and Growing Hope's programs and for themselves.  It's a great way to get involved early in the season and get your hands in the dirt while there's still snow falling outside!  This year, we have been grateful for the support of over 80 households to help us grow vegetable, herb, and flower seedlings for distribution this spring to community members, to use on our educational urban demonstration farm, for our youth programs, and for sale to raise funds to support our work!

Here's how it works: Growing Hope will sell or loan Seed Starting Squad members a light stand.  The light stand will hold four flats for seedlings-- members agree to grow two flats for us (we provide the flats, soil, and seeds) and then they have room for two flats for yourself.
