Seed to Harvest Community Education

Seed to Harvest

In 2005 Growing Hope launched its Seed to Harvest Community Education series. The goals of these classes is to give families of all income levels-- and all levels of garden experience-- the chance to gain hands on skills in growing. 2005 classes were held at the Ypsi Senior Center, although special sessions were held around the community at places like Head Start, public housing, SOS's Crisis Center, and others.

In 2006, we're going to offer classes through partner organizations-- schools, agencies, etc. We're developing a menu of potential classes and letting people tell us which ones they'd like us to teach. The partner organizations will help with securing a site and recruiting participants. If you're interested in having us teach a class to your group, please get in touch at info@growinghope.net. To get an idea of what we offer, you can download last year's schedule in pdf form here.

Check the Calendar at the left for details or last minute changes, dates and times of upcoming Seed to Harvest classes. Also, please remember to register for the classes by emailing education@growinghope.net or calling 786-8401.
